Thank you for all your support and interest during 2008. We are planning our stall sites for 2009 and will let you know as soon as possible. Keep an eye on this site.

Arisaemas and Amorphophallus,Hedychiums and Alocasia.

Our plants of Arisaema and Amorphophallus and other Aroids are coming to the end of their growing season. We will no longer be attending the Stroud Farmers Market this year. Our last visit was 30th August . We enjoyed everyone coming to buy and talk about our unusual plants.

We look forward to seeing our faithful customers next year at the Stroud Farmers Market and the Rare Plant fairs we will be attending.

We still have a few interesting plants including Hedychiums in flower and Alocasia(suitable for a large conservatory.)

So if you wish to come and see us, please ring first to see if we are in . You are very welcome.

We have been selling these amazing plants for a while now and they are becoming more well known. People come specially to see if we have them.

So if you dont know these unusual elegant plants come and see us at Stroud Farmers Market in July.

Stroud Farmers Market

We went to sell our Arisaemas and hostas, etc, at Stroud Farmers Market on Saturday, and had a good day as usual. Our Arisaemas caused a lot of interest ,People were intrigued by their unusual flowers. We had quite a few different varieties in flower. The weather was kind to us too.

Birmingham Botanic Gardens Plant fair

We had another lovely day at Birmingham meeting people who had bought from us last year and the year before and were very enthusiastic about how their plants had grown. We sold our Japanese Arisaemas, Hostas and Our gloriosa rothschildiana tubers sold like hot cakes.

Syon Park Plant Fair 23rd March 2008 even in the snow!

We went to the first rare plant fair of the season at Syon Park in London and it snowed!

The people still came and bought our Arisaema tubers.

It was VERY cold but we had a good day and hope the hardy people who braved the weather enjoyed themselves.

New Arisaema Tubers from Japan

We have just received some new Arisaema tubers from Japan. Among them

Arisaema Heterophyllum
Arisaema Thunbergii
Arisaema maximowiczii
Arisaema Thunbergii Urashima
Arisaema serratum
Arisaema iyoanum
Arisaema kishidae(pattern)
Arisaema mayebarai
Arisaema ringens
Arisaema sikokianum
Arisaema ternatipartitum

They got through the customs , etc, remarkably quickly this time. So there is great excitement, unpacking the beautifully packed boxes and admiring the tubers.

We have some Japanese guests staying in our B&B at the moment and they have told Tony they have seen Arisaemas growing in the deep forests.

We have set to planting the tubers already. We will try to keep you informed of their progress. More on this later.
